The "Law on the Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS" (HIV Law) came into effect on the 1st of January 2007 significantly strengthens the policy and legal environment for HIV. It regulates HIV/AIDS prevention and control measures, medical treatment and care services for people living with HIV and conditions to ensure the implementation of these measures.
