Ministry of Health confers the memorabilia "For People's Health" on Dr Masami Fujita, Team Leader - Senior Adviser, WHO Vietnam | |
04:27' PM - Wednesday, 27/10/2010 | | On 19 August 2010, at the Ministry of Health, Vice Minister Prof Trinh Quan Huan, on behalf of leaders of Ministry of Health, conferred the memorabilia "For People's Health" on Dr Masami Fujita, Team Leader - Senior Adviser, WHO Vietnam.
Dr Masami Fujita started his service for Viet Nam in 2001 and took up the Senior Advisor / HIV team leader position at WHO Viet Nam from 2005. Dr Fujita contributed significantly to the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in Vietnam through his support to the development of policies, strategies and guidance for HIV/AIDS prevention and control, especially on the care and treatment of people living with HIV/AIDS.
On behalf of Ministry of Health, Vice Minister, Prof. Trinh Quan Huan acknowledged and highly appreciated Dr. Fujita’s tireless efforts and effective contribution to the Vietnamese people's health in general and to HIV/AIDS prevention and control in particular, with a hope that in his new position, Dr Fujita will continue to dedicate his talent, efforts and expertise to the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in other countries into the future.
Dr Fujita also expressed his sincere thanks for strong collaboration and warm hospitality of leaders and staff of Ministry of Health, Vietnam Authority of HIV/AIDS Control, colleagues and friends. He acknowledged that the heartfelt collaboration, support and encouragement from colleagues and friends during his tenure in Vietnam helped him enormously to overcome difficulties and pressure in challenging work, as well as to assist his integration with Vietnam over the last 10 years.
